Mena and Missy

Mena Alexa Suvari, born 1979. She is an American model, fashion designer and actress. She started her modeling career in the year 1990, and then moved into acting, after appearances as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 she made her acting debut as an actor in the film Nowhere. Through her roles on American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to get a BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered much attention, she transitioned into bigger roles. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the title role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). In 2002, she starred in Spun the drama by an independent company as well as the 2004 thriller, Trauma. The year 2004, she appeared on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. Suvari was also featured in the film version of Day of Dead as well as The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh, and the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari models for Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she has also appeared on several blogs and fashion magazines such as Vogue. Suvari has been a long-time advocate for and champion for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
